View Emails on a Matter

This will show you how to view all of the emails on a matter and let you search for particular emails

Locate the Matter - Select the Email Powerview

1. Locate the Matter. (If you are having issues finding matters watch Basic Navigation training).
2. Email Powerview
3. This is the powerview area where you can see the emails.
4. You can sort on any column.

You can search the contents of the emails quickly - QuickSearch

1. Enter your search text in the QuickSearch
2. The results will appear at the bottom.

Remember that when we use email we send a lot of information. When people reply they usually include the full text of the email they are replying to, so your search results will be impacted by this.

You can quickly view one type of email - QuickFilter

1. Click the code you want to see.
2. The list is filtered

In the example above, We clicked CLNT to see only the client emails. These will be sorted by date, but you can change that sort by clicking the columns headers

You quickly see the first part of the email, to read the rest you have to open the email

1. The date of the email is a hyperlink. Click 1 time to open the email
2. Notice the paper clip icon. This tells you there are attachments to the email.

Read the entire email

This contains the contents that were copied from Outlook. Remember the original email is still in Outlook.

You can open the attachments or save them to the TM Document Management System

1. The attachment button will show you the list of attachments.
2. You can TM Save from this list. You can also open, delete and save to your file system if you are not using the TM DMS
